La Fondation L. Jou propose un stage de formation à la gravure sur linoléum et d’initiation à la
composition typographique au plomb mobile

du 10 au 12 octobre 2025

le nombre de participants est limité à 8.

le prix de cet atelier est de 300 euros .

L’intendance et les repas ne sont pas fournis, une cuisine est à disposition.
Un hébergement peut être envisagé, se renseigner.
La gravure sur linoléum est une excellente introduction à l’impression en relief.
Apprenez à réaliser vos propres linogravures et à créer une afficheposter pour associer votre
image à des mots. Les étudiants apprendront à composer les caractères d’imprimerie à la main et à imprimer sur des presses à bras.

Lino cut and broadside (type composition)
The Louis Jou Foundation is offering an introductory workshop on lino cut
and broadside from October 10th to 12th, 2025

The price of the workshop is 300 €.

Linoleum cutting is a great introduction to relief printing.
Learn to make your own linocuts and create a broadside (poster) to pair your
image with words. Broadsides are a grand tradition that allow an artist to
express themselves with imagery and words.

Students will learn how to use the tools, create a single color and multicolor
image, setting printers with L. Jou type by hand, compositional theory and
printing on the iron hand presses.
